Most of us have heard the saying “actions speak louder than words” right? Even when you aren’t paying attention or thinking about it, someone is watching your behavior, the way you handle situations and responses, and your attitude.

As a person of influence, a role model, or even someone who is looked up to, you must be aware of the example you are setting for your children, your family members, and the people you connect with.

Everyone has the ability to be an influence whether it’s positive or negative.

Which one are you?

Are you setting the right example for your followers?

Every day we should be practicing the act of forgiveness, kindness, and generosity. Respected leaders are those whose actions serve as a purpose, portrayed by positive forces.

And I want to talk about positive forces for a moment because many people have a tough time making that shift out of the negative zone.

It can be rough, especially when you’ve been through some tough times in your life, or you’ve been hurt by a number of people. If you can focus on keeping these three things in mind, you will be able to attract more positive energy into your life.

1. Appreciate what you have now, and don’t worry about the other stuff.

2. Don’t compare yourself to others. Be yourself, love yourself, accept your uniqueness, and keep your blinders on.

3. Don’t look at your downfalls or losses as failure. Look at them as opportunities to do it better the next time. Each one is a lesson learned.

Another thing we should always remember is our position in business and at home. Your actions say a lot about who you are as a person.

I’ve seen many reputations ruined due to lack of integrity and ridiculous behavior. If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.

While this may be true, be mindful of what you are standing for and how you do it. “Example is a language anyone can read.”
